I think that they might use some standard parts across models, so maybe that's why that happened. Most of the instructions were pretty straightforward, but I do remember there being some extra screw holes where the deck meets the neck (whatever you call the poles that hold the control panel above the running deck in front of you) and not knowing which ones to use.

The last bit that I'll add here is that I paid for curbside delivery (and bribed the drivers extra to take the treadmill inside lol), but I assembled the treadmill myself. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it works in practice. By ensuring that you spin the wheels at a more controlled pace, it's definitely much safer. If you hit it accidentally or swipe it too quickly, it can be dangerous since the treadmill speeds up pretty fast. It only responds to controlled spins, and this used to annoy me, but I understand why. They use a joystick to increase and decrease speed and incline, and the 7.0 uses a spin wheel. The one thing that I notice is that I don't know which fancy treadmill the Apple Fitness+ instructors are using, but there hasn't been an exercise that I can't keep up with.

I also run and watch movies or binge TV shows and jog at pretty much a comfortable pace, but in the warmer months I like to try to run outside when time permits, and my speed has improved as a result of taking classes that pushed me with intervals of "all out" speed and sustained inclines. When bought the 7.0, I never thought I'd take classes, but they've helped me to take my running to a new level. I've gone all the way up to 9% incline during some classes and never felt like I was going to hit the ceiling even when I'm running towards the front of the deck. I have it on a treadmill mat and that does seem to help as well.Ĭeiling height and deck height: My basement ceiling is only 7 feet and I'm a touch under 6 feet (I shrank in my 40's from a solid 6 feet). My guess is that it's from the running deck? No idea. It's no worse than any other treadmill that I had, but that rattle wasn't there in the first 30-100 miles of use. I wish I could identify where the rattle comes from, but with my noise-cancellation earphones, I don't hear anything, and those upstairs from me say they don't hear it either.
